Raspberries are delicate, sweet and slightly tart, containing lower sugar content compared to other fruits. The fruits can be consumed straight, out of hand, or tossed into salads, mixed into fruit bowls, or stirred into yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal. Raspberries contain iron, vitamin C, and antioxidants and are usually eaten fresh, often with cream or ice cream, as a dessert fruit.
